Visual Arts Technician

Required to start 1 September 2025

Permanent/Part time 19 hours per week

Term Time Only (TTO)  39 weeks per year (term time plus 1 day pro-rata to be worked in the holidays)

Working pattern: Wednesday 12pm-4pm, Thursday 08:10am – 4:10pm (30min unpaid break), Friday 08:10am – 4:10pm (30min unpaid break). 

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced technician to support the practical work in our well-equipped Visual Arts Department. You will be part of a collaborative technician team, reporting to the Visual Arts Studio Manager and working closely with the Head of Department to ensure the smooth running of our practical learning environments. 

The successful candidate will primarily be based in our Textiles studio, providing technical support to staff and students. However, flexibility is essential, as the role also involves supporting other areas within the department, including Fine Art, Photography, and Graphic Design.
